Jenica Pasura has qualified to play at the world’s largest junior golf event hosted by US Kids Golf.

Eight-year-old Jenica is the daughter of Vincy Ponnappa Pasura and Dimpu Mandepanda, residents of Danville, California. The Pasura family is from Madapur in Coorg. Interestingly, tennis legend Rohan Bopanna is also from Madapur.

More than 2,200 players from 55 countries will be at Pinehurst, North Carolina, for the annual U.S. Kids Golf World Championships, starting on August 3.

Jenica started playing golf at the age of four, inspired by her father, who also plays golf. Her father Ponnappa will be her caddy for the tournament. Jenica also enjoys swimming, tap dancing, piano and fencing.

By the way, Coorg has several golf courses and has produced many top notch players. National champion Trishul Chinnappa and international player Viraj Madappa hail from Coorg.
