MY WEBSITES ARE A PRODUCT OF TEAM WORK

By P.T. Bopanna

My websites are a product of team work, starting from my first website www.coorgtourisminfo.com launched in 2005. I am only the face of the websites. But the real stars involved in contributing content for my websites (altogether seven, five of them have now been merged into the flagship www.coorgtourisminfo.com), are others.

I am very much indebted to the couple, the late Boverianda Chinnappa and his wife Nanjamma (in picture). The latter continues to be a source of my strength.

The Chinnappas, researchers, are the grandchildren of Nadikerianda A. Chinnappa, compiler of the Pattole Palame, a collection of Kodava folksongs and traditions. The couple translated the Pattole Palame, written in the Kodava language, into English.

The section devoted to Kodava rituals relating to birth, wedding and death was contributed by the Chinnappas. I felt the need for providing the rituals in detail because the Kodava diaspora is spread across the world and this   information could come in handy for them whenever the need arises.
