Moonshot, co-owned by Devaiah Bopanna won the Independent Agency of the Year award at the Good Ads Matter 2026 awards.
Founded in 2023 by digital content creators and industry veterans Tanmay Bhat and Devaiah Bopanna, Moonshot has disrupted traditional advertising with highly viral, satire-driven campaigns for major Indian brands.
This milestone marks a consecutive win for the creative agency, which also secured the same Independent Agency of the Year title in 2025.
Devaiah (in picture) started his career in 2008, as a copywriter at Ogilvy, a few years after which he joined Mudra Communications as Senior Copywriter. His and Tanmay’s journey together started when he joined All India Bakchod as the Head Writer, as well as the founding team of Superteam, a venture founded by Tanmay.
Devaiah’s ideas are unique and distinct, clubbing humour and insight. His approach has led to campaigns like CRED ‘Great for the Good’ ft. Rahul Dravid, Lenskart ‘The War of Fair Prices’ ft. Karan Johar and Peyush Bansal, Fireboltt with MS Dhoni and MC Stan, and Dr Agarwals featuring Sachin Tendulkar.
Devaiah did his schooling at Baldwins (Bengaluru), and studied at St. Joseph’s for his PU, and graduated from BMS Engineering College, Bengaluru.
