Swetha Subbiah is a nationally recognised fitness coach who has played a significant role in shaping women’s sport and wellness ecosystem.

Mandepanda Swetha Subbiah (in picture) says her work is driven by a deep belief in the transformative power of movement and its ability to build confidence, connection, and long-term wellbeing, especially for women.

In 2012, she founded Sweat by Swetha, a fitness consulting firm that provided end-to-end fitness and wellness solutions to commercial health clubs and corporates.

In 2018, Swetha co-founded Sisters in Sweat, alongside professional footballer Tanvie Hans. “What started as a small group of 15 women playing football has grown into one of India’s largest women-focused sport and wellness community, with over 30,000 members across Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi NCR, and Hyderabad, and ongoing expansion to other parts of the country,” Swetha added.

Built on the idea of making sport accessible to women, Sisters in Sweat creates safe, inclusive spaces through grassroots football, run clubs, strength training, yoga, wellness workshops, and large-scale community events.

Swetha is a Nike-certified coach. Her professional training includes advanced certifications in performance training, corrective exercise, pre- and post-natal fitness, kettlebell instruction, and advanced personal training from leading international institutions.

At the core of Swetha’s work is a simple philosophy: fitness is not one-size-fits-all. She continues to motivate women to find forms of movement that are enjoyable, practical, and personal—making fitness more inclusive, less intimidating, and deeply impactful.
