AUTHOR P T BOPANNA GIFTS HIS BOOKS TO CAUVERY COLLEGE, GONIKOPPAL

Since most of his books are out of print, author and journalist P.T. Bopanna has handed over his books to Cauvery College, Gonikoppal, in Kodagu district, so that the books are available for reference in future.

Bopanna said: “Most of my books are out of print. I have so far brought out 10 books, including various editions and translations of five of the books authored by me. Since I have no plans to reprint my books in the near future, I wanted all my books to be made available at one location for reference. I recently donated a copy each of all my 10 books and my DVD ‘Discover Coorg’ to the library of the Cauvery College.”

The author (seated at the centre in the picture) recently handed over the books to the principal of Cauvery College Prof P.A. Poovanna. College librarian Latha T.K. was also present.

Bopanna is a chronicler of Kodagu (Coorg) and has documented the various facets of Kodagu district in his books and five Coorg-centric websites.

His book ‘The Romance of Indian Coffee’ has won the 2015 international Gourmand award for the ‘Best Book On Coffee In The World’. All his books are available on Kindle.
